Certifications & Testing Standards
At Shur-Tite, product performance, safety, and compliance are critical considerations for roadway, work zone, and traffic safety applications. Throughout our website, you will see certification and testing icons displayed on product pages to quickly identify products that meet specific industry standards or have undergone independent testing.
This page serves as a reference guide to help you understand the certifications and testing programs commonly associated with Shur-Tite products, including MASH, MUTCD, and NTPEP. While certification requirements vary by state, agency, and project, these standards help engineers, contractors, distributors, and DOT personnel evaluate products for their intended applications.
For certification documentation related to a specific product, visit the appliable product page or browse our Downloads page, where available certifications letters, testing reports, technical documents, and product resources can be found.

MASH Certified
MASH, or the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware, provides crash-testing criteria for roadside safety hardware. Products that are MASH certified have been tested to evaluate performance during vehicle impact scenarios.
